Delfin Amazon Cruises

Peruvian Amazon

With three luxury small expedition ships, Delfin Cruises offers guests an immersive rainforest experience in the heart of the Peruvian Amazon. Impeccable service is combined with luxurious, comfortable accommodation and fine dining - the perfect respite after a day exploring the Amazon rainforest by boat or on foot.

There are three cruise ships to choose from - Delfin I, II and III - your base from which to explore the Pacaya Samiria National Reserve which spans more than 5 million acres and is the largest protected flooded forest in the world.

During the rainy season (November to May), water levels rise, flooding 85% of the reserve and making it only accessible by boat. At this time of year, you will be able to explore more of the waterways of Amazonia, bringing you much closer to the jungle canopy, where monkeys play and Amazon birds like to roost. You are also likely to see many more mammals during the flooded season.

During the dry, low water season (June to October) the Pacaya Samiria National Reserve becomes the ideal place to explore by foot as the water levels drop and life regenerates in many fascinating ways. During these months keen fishermen and women are almost guaranteed to catch a piranha. And you'll have the chance to see dozens of species of migratory birds in flight.

Activities

All activities are included with your cruise and include trail hikes, paddleboarding, wildlife excursions, fishing plus much more.

You will travel by skiff boat for all wildlife excursions which are stable to ride and can navigate into the most hidden corners of the Amazon. Each skiff comes with an expert naturalist guide, and captain.

No activity is mandatory and if you prefer to spend some time relaxing on board there are plenty of spaces to read a book or enjoy a massage with a view of the river.
