Prepare for nine days of epic views and endurance as you circle the immense Paine Massif on what is one of the most beautiful and intense treks on Earth.
Today you’ll be met at the airport in Punta Arenas in Chile and transferred to your accommodation in Torres del Paine National Park.
You’ll stop in Puerto Natales for lunch before continuing into the National Park where you’ll spend the evening preparing for tomorrow’s trek.
You’ll start your hike along the bank of the Rio Paine, stopping to enjoy the views of Lago Paine and the surrounding landscapes. When you reach Camp Dickson, you’ll see the Dickson Glacier and parts of the Southern Patagonian Ice Field.
From Camp Dickson you’ll head along the Los Perros river through the most remote and wild part of the trek, passing the Los Perros Glacier and heading through forest.
You’ll travel up through the John Gardner Pass, the highest point of the circuit, boasting incredible views of the Grey Glacier, Grey Lake, and the Paine Massif.
You’ll hike along the eastern side of Grey Lake, and there’ll be an option of a kayaking excursion. Passing through Calafate bushes, you’ll follow a more shallow, dry valley, towards Lake Pehoe.
Enter the heart of the Paine Massif to visit the French Valley (Valle Frances), trekking to the far end of the valley by the French River, which is surrounded by the geological mountain formations.
You’ll head along the Los Cuernos Trail in front of the Paine Massif, walking alongside the aquamarine waters of Lake Nordenskjold, admiring the flora and fauna and learning about the local wildlife and plants.
This morning you’ll hike up through the Ascencio Valley to the base of the Torres. After passing through forests and a huge moraine of rocks, you’ll reach the iconic lookout at the base of three granite spires after which the park is named.
You’ll leave Torres del Paine National Park and be escorted to the airport for your return flight home.
