Experience the diversity of Chile on this 15-day adventure. Go from the Atacama Desert to snow-capped volcanoes and the rainforest of the Lake District. At the end, toast your adventures with a trip to the Chilean Winelands.

Day 1
Arrival Santiago
Upon arrival at Santiago International Airport, you’ll be greeted and escorted by car to your accommodation in the heart of the Bellavista district.
The remainder of your day will be spent at leisure.

Day 2
Santiago
Get to know Santiago on a private guided tour. Your guide will show you the highlights of this cosmopolitan city, including the Pre-Columbian Museum and a walk up Santa Lucia Hill for panoramic views.
In the afternoon, explore at leisure.
Your Lightfoot Travel Designer can recommend activities that suit your interests, including a trip to Valparaiso or a visit to the Andes.

Day 3
Santiago – Atacama Desert
After breakfast, you’ll be escorted to the airport for your domestic flight to Calama.
A driver will greet you and transport you to your accommodation in the Atacama Desert.
In the late afternoon head out for your first excursion in this incredible landscape.

Day 4
Atacama Desert
Spend the next two days exploring the Atacama Desert. Activities include horse riding, hiking, biking, and scenic voyages to Moon Valley, the Salar de Atacama, and the Tatio Geysers.
There are also opportunities for birdwatching, stargazing, and exploring the petroglyphs at Rainbow Valley.

Day 5
Atacama Desert – Lake District
It’s a total change of scenery today as you leave the desert and fly to Chile’s Lake District, a region of pristine forests, snow-capped volcanoes and aquamarine lakes.
Check into your hotel on the shores of Lake Llanquihue and relax.

Day 6
Lake District
You’ll enjoy a full day’s excursion to the Vicente Perez National Park, to hike through temperate rainforest to the Petrohue waterfalls and up the Osorno Volcano for panoramic views of the Andes.

Day 7
Lake District
Today is free for you to explore at leisure.
Your Travel Designer can recommend activities to suit your interests prior to departure, including a trip to Chiloe Island to see the penguin colonies and UNESCO-listed churches, or a rafting adventure on the Petrohue River.

Day 8
Lake District – Puerto Natales, Patagonia
Today you’ll travel from the verdant Lake District to the rugged landscape of Patagonia. You’ll fly to Puntas Arenas before being driven to Puerto Natales, a drive of around three hours.

Day 9
Puerto Natales – Torres del Paine
Today’s adventure begins with a cruise through Last Hope Sound to see the impressive Balmaceda hanging glacier. You’ll hike to the Serrano glacier before lunch.
The adventure continues with a zodiac RIB boat ride along the Serrano River, past the gigantic glaciers of the Southern Ice Cap, before arriving at the Torres del Paine National Park.
You’ll be transferred to your accommodation on the shores of Lake Sarmiento, where you can enjoy a relaxing evening.

Day 10
Torres del Paine
Spend two days exploring the Torres del Paine National Park.
There are abundant activities on offer, including horseback riding, hiking, mountain biking, and water activities. You can also go fly-fishing, birdwatching, visit rock paintings, or enjoy scenic excursions to major landmarks in the park.

Day 11
Torres del Paine – Chilean Winelands
This morning you’ll be driven five hours to Puntas Arenas for a flight to Santiago. A short car ride will transfer to your accommodation at the Matetic Vineyard.
Relax with a well-deserved glass of wine.
Day 12
Chilean Winelands
Spend a day at leisure in the Chilean Winelands. Enjoy a tour and wine tasting of the vineyard, go on a wine tasting tour of the region, or simply relax around the pool. There are also opportunities for hiking and horse riding.

Day 13
Departure
Today you’ll be escorted to the airport for your onward journey.
