Alaska Cruise Seward to Vancouver
Explore Alaska’s extensive coastline for a unique insight into the explorer history, indigenous cultures, mighty glaciers and remarkable wildlife spotting opportunities – bears, orcas and humpback whales, among others. Led by expert guides, the Silver Explorer’s luxury comforts and all-inclusive experience more than complement the trip’s adventures offered on the daily zodiac excursions.

Day 1 Arrival in Seward
Upon arrival you’ll be escorted to the Silver Explorer. You’ll have time to familiarise yourself with your surroundings, relax, and enjoy a meal in the restaurant.

Day 2 College Fjord - Esther Passage
Enter Prince William Sound and head for an area first visited by the Harriman Expedition in 1899. On the way out of College Fjord you’ll cruise in Esther Passage using local boats; on the portside you’ll see mainland Alaska, while on starboard will be Esther Island.

Day 3 Cape St. Elias - Kayak Island - Icy Bay
Today you’ll approach Kayak Island, a historical landmark as this was the only island in Alaska where Georg Steller landed during the Bering Expedition of 1740.
You’ll have the chance to scan the waters for whales as you grow closer to the Wrangell-St. Elias National Park and Preserve to which Malaspina Glacier and Hubbard Glacier belong.
In the evening you’ll enter Icy Bay.

Day 4 Hubbard Glacier
Cruise along the front of the Hubbard Glacier while looking for glacier calvings.

Day 5 Elfin Cove - Point Adolphus

Day 6 Sergius Narrows, Sitka
This morning you’ll see the Sergius Narrows which separate Chichagof and Catherine Islands.
At noon Silver Explorer will arrive in Sitka, one of Alaska’s major fishing ports. Apart from exploring the town, you’ll visit Sitka National Historic Park/Totem Park to see some of the emblematic totem poles and the Russian Bishop’s House.
Alternatively, join a Jet-Cat wildlife viewing adventure aboard a deluxe expedition catamaran, searching for whales, sea otters, puffins, Bald Eagles and brown bears. Other activities include beachcombing, looking for tide pools and tracing wildlife tracks.

Day 7 Wrangell
Discover Wrangell, one of Alaska's oldest towns, where you’ll find more than a dozen totem poles.
In the afternoon, head by local boat to Anan Creek, home to the largest run of pink salmon in Southeast Alaska, which attracts large concentrations of Bald Eagles, black bears, harbor seals and brown bears.

Day 8 Ketchikan, Metlakatla
Wake up in Ketchikan and participate in a unique Wilderness Exploration & Crab Feast, Alaskan Wilderness Survival program, or enjoy a coastal drive to a private Alaska Rainforest Sanctuary followed by a guided rainforest walk.
You’ll also visit Annette Island to witness the famous Totem Poles, experience a dance performance or take a trail around Skaters Lake.

Day 9 Behm Canal - Rudyerd Bay - Misty Fjords
Today you’ll sail in the Behm Canal which passes through the Misty Fiords National Monument to the east of Revillagigedo Island.
In the afternoon, you’ll board a local boat to see Rudyerd Bay and look for Marbled Murrelets, Bald Eagles, brown and black bears, harbour seals and sea otters.

Day 10 Prince Rupert - British Columbia, Canada
Arrive in Prince Rupert, the “City of Rainbows”, and your point of entry into Canada. Here, you’ll embark on a tour of the North Pacific Cannery and the North Pacific Historic Fishing Village, a National Historic Site.

Day 11 At sea
Spend today at your leisure. Attend a photography workshop, join an expert lecture, enjoy wine tasting, or simply relax on the sun deck.

Day 12 Alert Bay, Johnstone Strait - Seymour Narrows, British Columbia
Spend the morning in Alert Bay where you can walk to the Memorial Totem Poles at the Namgis Burial Ground. At the U’mista Cultural Centre you can hear about the potlatch system and the ancient way of life.
