Arrival Muscat

Upon arrival at the airport you’ll be met by a representative and transferred by private car to your hotel.

The remainder of your day will be spent at leisure.

Swim with dolphins

After an early breakfast, you’ll go on a boat ride in search of dolphins and whales off Muscat’s rugged coast.

In the afternoon you’ll be free to explore or just relax on the beach. Adults can enjoy Chi, the Spa. Families can set off down the lazy river.

Day 3
Ruins, Sinkholes and Turtles

Prepare for a day of adventure!

First, you’ll head to the ruins of Bibi Maryam’s Tomb in the village of Qalhat, a mysterious site with a mystical air of history.

Next, you’ll visit Fins beach for a swim before heading to the Bimah Sinkhole. You’ll end at Wadi Al Arbeieen, a valley flanked by rocky cliffs, and home to natural fresh-water pools.

In the afternoon you’ll be transferred to The Ras al–Jinz Scientific and Visitors Centre where you can witness endangered green turtles lay their eggs.

Day 4
Souqs, Sands, and Safaris

This morning begins with a drive to the 17th century Round Tower Fort and its famous souq, renowned for its Friday cattle auction and ornamental silver jewelry.

Your final destination is the Wahiba Sands, a mass of dunes rising up to 200 meters.

After checking into Desert Nights Camp you’ll have the chance to try quad biking, sandboarding, or just rest up.

The evening will see you embark on a sunset camel safari where you’ll trek across the dunes and feast on traditional Omani fare before retreating to your luxury Bedouin-style tent for the night.

Day 5
Al Hajar Mountains

Sitting just a short distance to the northwest, your next destination is the Al Hajar Mountains.

On the way, you’ll stop at the famous old town of Nizwa to explore the dramatic wadis, historic old mudbrick homes and fruit orchards.

After settling into your hotel, the rest of the day will be spent at leisure.

Luxury at Anantara

Today will be spent at leisure to enjoy Anantara Jabal Akhdar.

Swim in the heated outdoor infinity pool, book a treatment at the spa or play family fun games. Your Lightfoot Travel Designer can also arrange activities; from trekking, canyon walks, and cave exploration, to goat auctions and visits to forests.

The Musandam Peninsula

Today’s destination is the Musandam Peninsula, a six-hour drive away.

The Peninsula is dubbed the ‘Norway of Arabia’ for its beautiful rocky inlets, small villages, and mountain-hugging roads.

After checking in to Six Senses Zighy Bay you’ll be free to unwind at leisure.

Zighy Bay

Spend the last few days of your holiday enjoy the surroundings of Six Senses Zighy Bay. With dramatic mountain vistas, a private marina, and an inviting sandy beach, your time here will be unforgettable.

Go diving and snorkeling, enjoy a children’s treasure hunt, head off on a hike, or join an Arabic cooking class – the options are endless and your Lightfoot Travel Designer can advise on options prior to departure.

Continue to relax at the wonderful Six Senses Zighy Bay.

Departure

Today you’ll depart Six Senses Zighy Bay for the two-hour drive to Dubai, where you’ll catch your return flight home.
