Palais Amani

Within the walls of the ancient medina in the heart of Fez lies Palais Amani, a charming boutique hotel. This century-old, riad-style palace features art deco features and combines traditional Moroccan style with modern comforts.

Palais Amani is home to 14 spacious rooms and suites, all featuring opulent interiors, stunning bathrooms, and state-of-the-art amenities. The rather impressive Grand Suite is huge, occupying an entire floor in one of the wings, and has art deco features and stained glass windows overlooking the garden.

There’s a menu of contemporary French and Moroccan delights. The gardens offer a wonderful setting for dining whether you’re enjoying a traditional Moroccan breakfast or sumptuous three-course dinner. If you wish to eat out, there are plenty of good restaurants nearby.

After a day exploring the medina, experience the ritual of purification in the luxurious hammam, enjoy a massage on the roof terrace, or sip a cocktail at the bar as you admire the views. Although there isn’t a pool at Palais Amani, there are showers to cool off in on the roof. The hotel also runs cookery classes and wine tastings.

Location and Getting There

Palais Amani is located within the walls of Fez’s ancient Medina (historic quarter), the capital of Morocco and a few minutes’ walk from the Golden Triangle. It takes 45 minutes to arrive by car from Fez’s airport, Saïs. The Medina is walking distance, however a free car park is located nearby if one chooses to arrive by car.

With a selection of 16 rooms to choose from, Palais Amani features 6 classic elegant luxury rooms and Junior, Mezzanine and Luxury suites which are intimate, cosy and prestigious. The Grand Suite offers a magnificent bathroom and breathtaking views onto the gardens and hills. The Communicating suites and Misriah Two offers a reception room with a private roof terrace while the Misriah Apartments comprising of two suites and a private roof terrace is the perfect stay for friends or families.

Activities

Palais Amani organizes in-house-activities such as Moroccan Riad Cookery classes which brings you out on an excursion to medina for shopping before heading back to the palace for live demonstration of how Moroccan cuisine, Tajine and side dishes are prepared. Strolling through the historical city is superb, and there are numerous monuments to visit.

Children

Children are welcomed. Free cots, extra beds and highchairs are available. Child-friendly meals are available on request. Babysitters (non-english speaking) are available.
