Day 1
Arrival Colombo
Upon arrival at the airport, you’ll be met by a representative and transferred to your hotel by private car.
After checking in you’ll have time to relax in The Wallawwa’s natural setting by the garden or pool. If you feel up to it, venture into Colombo for a spot of shopping, and return to the hotel for a massage.
Day 2
Colombo - Hill Country
This morning you’ll head to the train station for your journey to Hatton. Pass through lush jungle, rolling countryside and quaint villages as you go.
Upon arrival in Hatton you’ll be met and transferred to your accommodation in the magical solitude of Sri Lanka’s prime tea land.
Day 3
Tea Plantation Exploration
For the next two days, you’ll have time to absorb the beautiful natural scenery and the surrounding countryside of Sri Lanka’s Hill Country.
Day 4
Tea Plantation Exploration
You’ll have today at your own leisure.
Visit a local Ceylon tea factory where you can observe the process of tea manufacturing, head on a hike, or just relax on the veranda with a nice cup of tea (of course!).
Day 5
Hill Country - Weligama
This morning your driver will transfer you by private car to Weligama and your home for the next four nights, the stunning Cape Weligama Resort.
The afternoon at leisure, settling in to your new surroundings. Your Lightfoot Travel Designer can advise on activities prior to departure.
Day 6
Coastal Relaxation
Spend the next few days enjoying Cape Weligama and the surrounding area.
This is your chance to snorkel, swim, kayak on Koggala Lake, enjoy guided cycling tours through the countryside or embark on a whale watching cruise. Surfing is also a fun way to spend the morning.
If you’re looking to travel further afar, venture into Yala or Udawalawe National Park to search for Sri Lanka’s native wildlife.
Alternatively, cool off in the pool, head to the spa, or sip a cocktail overlooking the Indian Ocean.
Day 7
Coastal Relaxation
You will have today at your own leisure to enjoy Cape Weligama.

Departure
Today you’ll be transferred to the hotel for your onward journey.
