Meaning 'a fortunate surprise', Meda Gedara has been transformed into a beautiful 7 bedroom villa with an outdoor pool, water slide, tropical gardens, yoga shala, team of staff and breathtaking ocean views. It is the perfect place to enjoy a memorable family holiday in Sri Lanka.

The location on Sri Lanka's popular south coast is ideal, with direct access to a beautiful beach and close proximity to a popular surf break, national safari parks, and bird wetlands.

There are 6 bedrooms in the main house and 1 in a separate garden villa. Thoughtfully designed with families in mind there is a 6-bed bunk room younger guests and the 20-meter water slide, which has its own pool, will delight your kids without disturbing those relaxing in the main pool.

The villa has a dedicated team of 10 staff including a villa manager and private chef who is well known for his culinary expertise.

Activities

The south coast offers endless activities. The closest beach is literally at the end of the garden and Meda Gedara is an hour from Galle Fort, a Unesco World Heritage Site. For the more adventurouse there's dolphin and whale watching, elephant safaris, surfing and watersports. The peaceful bay of Hiriketiya is just 10 minutes away by tuktuk.
