Guests have a choice of 11 large rooms and suites, including a blue-and-white suit decorated with Chinese porcelain, another with traditional Peranakan decor, and split-level loft suites with four-poster beds, open-sided galleries, and beautiful courtyard views. The white sheets are talcum-soft, the pillows are the sort you want to take home, the floorboards are teak, and the paintwork lime-washed. Although the feel is minimalist, the comfort factor is high.
The restaurant sets high standards for the rest of Sri Lanka, with the chef cooking some truly delicious delights. The bar at the hotel is a popular meeting place and as a result, has a great vibe to it.

What I most like about The Galle Fort Hotel is that it's located right in the heart of the historic old town of Galle Fort in Sri Lanka. Most of the must-see sites are on your doorstep, as well as several cafes and restaurants. A charming colonial-style veranda fronts the street and is the ideal spot for absorbing the color and vibrancy of the surroundings. We often hear great things about the General Manager here who can tell you interesting facts about the building during your stay.”
