RAAS Devigarh

Rajasthan

Raas Devigarh is housed in an incredibly romantic 18th-century palace in the village of Delwara, a 45-minute drive from Udaipur. It was, until the mid-20th century, the royal residence of the rulers of Delwara principality. Hidden in the Aravali Hills, this stunning gem has been intricately resorted into one of the most luxurious and sublime boutique retreats in India.

The fort’s entirely traditional facade belies the interior which boasts 39 unique and luxurious suites which exude clean lines and a fresh, exciting and contemporary look. The suites all have magnificent views over the village and distant hills.

The chic dining room and the colourful bar both offer superb cuisine based on mouth-watering Indian dishes and recipes from all over the world.

Throughout the building there are comfortable places in which to relax; the yoga on the rooftop at dawn is highly recommended. The tranquil II spa - one of only two in India - offers excellent pampering massages, whilst the large swimming pool is second to none.

Why we recommend RAAS Devigarh

“This is an absolutely beautiful hotel. A stay here offers guests the rare opportunity to experience living on a fort where balconies look over frangipani-filled landscaped grounds and the open courtyard invites peaceful moments of total tranquillity. Opt for one of the Aravalli suites with stunning views of the Aravalli range. As it’s a heritage hotel, no two rooms are the same; have breakfast on your expansive balcony and soak up the solitude and special memories.”
