On this itinerary, you’ll visit some of the most spectacular natural scenery in the world. Take an extra day and we can arrange a professional photographer to spend time with you teaching you how to best capture it from your camera.
Upon arrival at the airport, you’ll be escorted by car to your accommodation in the city centre. The remainder of your day will be spent at leisure – your Lightfoot Travel Designer can recommend restaurant options for the evening.
After breakfast at the hotel, enjoy a private four-hour tour of Oslo visiting the highlights of the city.
In the evening, dine at the Oslo Opera House.
This morning you’ll travel from Oslo to Myrdal and then on to Flam, on one of the world’s most spectacular train journeys. Lunch at Flam, before catching a ferry to Balestrand on Sognefjord.
Dinner will be at The Cider House in Balestrand, although please note they are only open at certain times of the year. At other times of year, dine at your hotel.
Today, you’ll be whisked away by private car for a day hiking the Jostedalsbreen glacier, which divides the world’s two longest fjords, Sognefjord and Nordfjord.
You’ll also have the option to go kayaking at the glacier.
After breakfast at your hotel, you’ll head towards Vik via a combination of bus and boat journeys. Here you’ll meet Vikings and enjoy a traditional lunch, before continuing to Bergen along a route filled with picturesque waterfalls.
In the evening, you’ll have the chance to dine at the Opus XVI Hotel while enjoying a classical concert.
In the morning, you’ll be taken on a private walking tour of Bergen, where you’ll see the funicular, fish market, and other sights – you can upgrade to a Segway or e-bike tour. After a light lunch you’ll have an afternoon at leisure to browse the shops.
In the evening, head to Cornelius Restaurant, one of Norway’s finest restaurants on a small island. Here you’ll enjoy a five-course seafood dinner overlooking fjords and mountains.
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight to Alesund where you’ll check into your hotel. Enjoy some downtime before dinner at the seafood restaurant, Bro.
Have a fun day out at Alesund Aquarium or upgrade to take a cruise into the spectacular Hjørundfjord.
After breakfast, fly to Oslo and onwards to Tromso in the Arctic Circle, where you’ll check into your hotel. In the evening, catch a glimpse of the midnight sun as you take a private dinner cruise on the fjord.
On your final full day, you’ll learn more about the lifestyle of the Sami people who live in the far north. First, head to a local husky farm where you’ll meet puppies and help train them.
After a free afternoon to wander around Tromso, spend time with a local Sami family to learn more about their culture.
Today you’ll be escorted to the airport for your onward journey.
