On the northwestern corner of Antigua, where the Caribbean Sea laps against the shore, you’ll find Blue Waters Resort. Wrapped around Soldier’s Bay, its three beaches are so secluded you would be forgiven for thinking you were on your own private island.

The elegant resort snakes along the coast amid 17 acres of tropical gardens. A mixture of sea-facing cottages and larger Italianate villas are set amongst the landscape, and several houses are available to rent out in their entirety. Rock cottage isolated on a promontory is the place for complete privacy.

Pelican Bar is adjacent to the tea terrace and lobby, and only a stone’s throw away from the Palm Restaurant. The bar’s location makes it ideal for relaxing with a good book during the day or sipping on your favourite cocktail as a steel band plays the night away. Uniquely situated on a cliff top, the Cove Restaurant combines Caribbean and French cuisine with flair.

Relaxing beachside is the name of the game here, but if lounging by the pool is more your thing there are several to choose from at Blue Waters Resort. Along with an elegant spa, there’s also a fitness centre, tennis court and 17 acres of resort gardens. Located just three miles from Blue Waters Resort is Cedar Valley Golf Club, Antigua’s only PGA-rated golf course.

The only resort on Soldier’s Bay, on Antigua’s northwest coast, Blue Waters Resort makes you feel secluded while only being a 15-minute drive from the capital St John’s, and about the same distance from VC Bird airport.

For those really wishing to treat themselves, the Cove Suites at Blue Waters Resort will offer that little bit extra, with freestanding baths, extensive living areas and private infinity pools reserved only for Cove guests. For larger parties, The Cove Penthouses have three bedrooms, a dining room, lounge, and kitchen with near panoramic views for their private terraces.

Activities

Experience a range of activities to keep your heart rate up, in between relaxing in the Caribbean sunshine. From sweating it out in the fitness centre to cardio sessions. You can also take part in morning walks, or try some yoga in the outdoor pavilion.
