Kyaninga Lodge
UgandaKyaninga Lodge is a luxury lodge set against the stunning backdrop of Lake Kyaninga and the Mountains of the Moon in Fort Portal, western Uganda.
The lodge provides eight spacious thatched cottages. Each has been built on a raised platform and is linked to the main lodge via wooden walkways. Interiors feature rustic décor, hand-carved furniture, a king-size bed, a luxurious bathroom with a claw-footed freestanding bath and a private veranda overlooking the Crater Lake below. There are two family cottages.
The main lodge features striking architecture, a comfy lounge with a double-sided open fireplace and multiple decks with spectacular views. There is also a restaurant and bar, and a swimming pool and one of Uganda’s few grass tennis courts as well as a croquet lawn.
Enjoy European dishes prepared using ingredients from Kyaninga Lodge's own kitchen garden in the elegant dining room, with a glass of something special from the extensive wine list.

Kyaninga Lodge is 3.5 hours away from Kampala in western Uganda.

Activities
There is an array of thrilling adventures on offer from Kyaninga Lodge. Go chimpanzee trekking in Kibale Forest National Park, less than an hour away; hike through the surrounding countryside to spot a variety of wildlife; enjoy a swim in the lake; stroll through the delightful gardens; or laze by the inviting pool as you take in the views. There are also numerous bike trails. The lodge features one of Uganda’s few grass tennis courts as well as a croquet lawn.

The best months to travel to Uganda are between January to February and June to September.
