“This safari combines spectacular wildlife and diverse habitats of two major Zambian Rivers – the Luangwa and the Zambezi. You’ll stay at the most exclusive owner-operated camps in Zambia and have the chance to go on walking and driving safaris in two magnificent National Parks.”
You’ll fly into Mfuwe, the gateway to South Luangwa.
From here you’ll be met by a representative and privately escorted to Luwi Bush Camp, stopping to look at game on the way.
After checking in you’ll enjoy lunch and then set out on foot to explore the local area. Spend time at the nearby crocodile and hippo filled lagoon, watching from the hide.
Today you’ll wake early and leave the camp before the sun rises, taking a picnic breakfast and lunch with you as you head upstream into really wild country.
Enjoy brunch under the shade of a tree overlooking one of the many waterholes before slowly making your way back to Luwi Bush Camp in time for a sundowner at the lagoon and dinner in the camp.
Today you’ll leave the camp early and walk downstream to Nsolo Bush Camp. The river widens in this section and the Luwi’s white sands carve a dynamic route through open grazing lawns and game rich areas.
You’ll arrive at Nsolo Bush Camp in time for brunch.
The remainder of the day will be spent at leisure.
Today you’ll spend the day exploring the Nsolo area with your expert guide and tracker.
Today is aimed at the adventurous!
You’ll leave Nsolo Bush Camp and head downstream towards Kakuli to find a spot to set up your bedroll and mossie net, build the camp fire and make preparations for your “Return to the Wild” sleep out night – an experience never to be forgotten.
Wake up early and and meander with the Luwi to Kakuli Camp. Enjoy the views over the Luangwa Valley - the perfect place from which to explore the riverine area on foot and in a game vehicle.
