Day 1
Arrival Nairobi
Upon arrival you’ll be met by your guide and escorted to your accommodation.
The rest of the day will be spent at your leisure. Time permitting, your Lightfoot Travel Designer can advise on activities prior to arrival.
Day 2
Nairobi - Laikipia
This morning you’ll be transferred to the airport for your flight to the private airstrip of Ol Lentille in northern Kenya.
Upon arrival you’ll be escorted to your accommodation and the rest of the day will be spent at leisure.
Day 3
Laikipia
Spend the next few days enjoying private day and night game drives, walking safaris, horse riding, birding expeditions, camel trekking, cycling and quad biking.
Go on walking safaris guided by Samburu and Maasai warriors and visit local villages, schools and hospitals.
At the end of your day wind down with a dip in the pool, a spa treatment and a bush meal.
Day 4
Laikipia
Continue to spend your time at leisure.
Your Lightfoot Travel Designer can advise on activities to suit your needs prior to departure.
Day 5
Laikipia
Rise early for your last day here.
This is your last chance to experience daily game drives and activities. Your Lightfoot Travel Designer can advise on activities prior to departure.
Day 6
Laikipia – Greater Maasai Mara
Today you'll be escorted to the airport for your flight.
Upon arrival to the Maasai Mara area your guide will transfer you to your private Bush Home in the Mara North Conservancy.
One of the large game reserves in Narok Countt, Kenya, the Maasai Mara National Reserve is famous for Maasai lions, African leopards and Tanzanian cheetahs. Additionally, the Great Migration of zebras to and from the Serengeti happens every July to October and there is excellent resident wildlife throughout the year.
After settling in, the rest of your day will be spent at leisure.
Day 7
Greater Maasai Mara
The next few days are free to spend at your leisure.
Go on family game drives, nature walks, dung tracking or bush baking.
Tuck into light meals, enjoy siestas and pool time throughout the day, and return for dinner under the stars.
Day 8
Greater Maasai Mara
The next few days are free to spend at your leisure.
Your Lightfoot Travel Designer will be able to advise on activities prior to departure - we especially recommend an optional hot air balloon at sunrise.
Day 9
Greater Maasai Mara
Spend your final day here heading on family game drives, nature walks, and other safari activities.
Your Lightfoot Travel Designer will be able to advise on to suit your needs prior to departure.
Day 10
Nairobi
Today you’ll fly to Nairobi.
Upon arrival you’ll be escorted to Giraffe Manor where you’ll stay with the resident herd of endangered Rothchild giraffes.
The rest of your day will be spent at leisure.
Day 11
Nairobi
Continue to enjoy your time at Giraffe Manor.
Along with meeting, learning about, and sharing breakfast with giraffes, you hang out with warthogs, bushbuck, dik dik, and more than 180 species of birds, take a guided walk in the sanctuary, feed and even adopt a baby elephant at the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, or enjoy afternoon tea on the terrace as the sun sets behind the Ngong Hills.
Day 12
Departure
Today you’ll be transferred to the airport for your onward journey.
- Go quad biking, camel trekking and horse riding in Laikipia
- Visit local villages and schools and learn about community projects
- Head on family game drives in the Maasai Mara
- Relax by the pool during the day, and eat dinner under the stars at night
- Share your breakfast with giraffes at Giraffe Manor
