A palm-fringed paradise in the Philippines, naturally sheltered from the tropical wilderness all around it, enchanting Nay Palad portrays barefoot luxury at is best. The emphasis is on outdoor living and sustainability, and this resort cleverly blends traditional architecture, cutting edge design and the natural surroundings.

Nine large and stylish thatched villas are dotted across manicured gardens within the four-acre property. Each has been built using recycled wood and features an open shower, large veranda and contemporary interiors.

Away from the rooms, guests can laze by the pool or lounge around in hanging pods scattered throughout the property. There’s an outdoor bar, a trampoline and two pagodas - one in the mangroves and one in the sea. The stylish spa is decked out in handwoven furnishings and is particularly atmospheric at night.

Relaxed dining of fresh local dishes takes place in the restaurant or on the beach.

Location & Getting There

Nay Palad Hideaway is located at the southeastern tip of Siargao Island, around the corner from the Philippine Deep and surfing wave, Cloud 9. It is a 1 hour flight from Cebu or a 3 hour flight from Manila followed by a 30 minute drive from Siargao Airport.

Accommodation

Comprising of 9 villas, Nay Palad Hideaway is well-furnished with local materials and craftsmanship, surrounded by natural mangroves and sea waters. The villas comprise of spacious verandas, windows and integration of stones and wood. The Deluxe Villas are two- storey high, featuring an all-glass front with spectacular ocean views. With raised walkways, the villas offer a balance between traditional and modern luxury. The deluxe villas feature their own private porch, lounging niches and its private en suite bathroom. Come sunset, relax in the Swingrest hanging lounger by Daniel Pouzet, one of the first products to be created in the Outdoor Living Lab, and admire the view.

Activities

As Nay Palad Hideaway is located near the shores, guests can easily enjoy a range of water activities such as paddle boarding, surfing, kayaking or swimming. Guests can also explore the mangroves and salt water ecosystems or marvel at the rock formations of Magpupungko located north of the picturesque fishing village of Pilar. Guests can indulge in the serenity of the waves of the oceans crashing, while standing at the wooden watch tower that overlooks the legendary Cloud 9. Besides the coastline, guests can also take a scenic drive down the roads to the organic farm which produces fresh fruits and vegetables.

Children

Children are welcomed. There is a children's village which comprises of elevated woven domes with enclose trampolines. There are also swings, high chairs and specially designed children’s furniture by co-designer Daniel Pouzet that are available.
