Fourteen beachfront bures (traditional Fijian bungalows) are nestled under swaying coconut palms in lush tropical gardens, each one handcrafted from locally sourced wood, bamboo, and lava rock. The treehouse bures are perfect for honeymooners wanting maximum privacy and romance, and they also come with outdoor Jacuzzis and impressive views across the bay.
There are many gastronomic adventures here. Pacific Rim cuisine is prepared using the freshest ingredients and served in the relaxing dining room overlooking the lagoon. Romantic dinners on the beach and picnics can also be arranged.

Location & Getting There
Matangi Island Resort is situated in the northern part of the Fiji Islands, on a horseshoe-shaped private island surrounded by lush rainforest, white-sand beaches, and pristine coral reefs. It is a 90-minute flight from Nadi International Airport on the main island, Viti Levu.
Accommodation
The resort provides different styles of accommodation, including treehouses and three types of bures. The split-level treehouses are surrounded by lush tropical foliage and only steps away from the beach. Its large private sun deck and outdoor jacuzzi offer the ultimate privacy and romance for honeymooners. Beachfront bures feature a private verandah and beach hammock, Oceanview bures boast additional living space, while the Two-Bedroom bures are more than twice the size of the others with its extra bedroom and larger verandah.
Activities
The tropical island provides the perfect back-drop for many activities including snorkeling, kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, hikes, village and island tours, catamaran sailing, trekking, and hand-line fishing. These activities are all complimentary for guests. Other paid programs include a Civa Pearl Farm & Tavoro Waterfall Tour, scuba diving, and light tackle sportfishing among others.
