Holidays to Jeju Island

Jeju Island, off the south coast of South Korea is renowned for its rich natural beauty, volcanic landscapes and centuries-old female diving tradition. We highly recommend you visit the island on a tailormade holiday to South Korea.

Mount Hallasan is Jeju island’s central and most prominent landmark. A dormant volcano and South Korea’s highest peak it is located within a UNESCO Biosphere reserve. Hike to the top for panoramic views of the island and crater lake. The scenic trails of Seongsan Ilchulbong, also known as Sunrise Peak, offer a more leisurely hike with spectacular sunrise vistas.

The Olle Trails is a network of hiking routes along Jeju Island’s rugged coastline and through the interior with impressive views along the way. You can hike the entire length with a private guide, or different sections of the trail.

Jeju's beaches are captivating, with Hamdeok Beach offering crystal-clear waters and Jungmun Saekdal Beach known for its striking black volcanic sand. Nearby Jusangjeolli Cliffs, showcase impressive lava formations and more geological marvels can be seen at Manjanggul Cave, one of the longest lava tubes in the world.

Jeju Island is famed for its seafood, particularly the fresh abalone, sea urchin, and octopus, often caught by the legendary haenyeo— Jeju island's female divers. These women, some of whom are well into their 70s, dive without breathing equipment to harvest the ocean's bounty, a tradition that has been recognized by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage. Their catch is often served in local dishes like hoe (raw fish), abalone porridge, and jeonbokjuk, offering a taste of the island's rich maritime culture.
