Satri House

Located amongst lush gardens, Satri House is a colonial-style hotel that’s bursting with charm. The former childhood home of Prince Souphanavong – the Red Prince of Laos – the building has been refurbished to create an oasis of calm close to the bustling Luang Prabang.

Set across two houses, the 31 rooms and suites fuse traditional Lao décor with colonial style. The dark wooden furniture and four-poster beds are adorned with antique rugs, silk cushions and throws, Indochine paintings and objets d’art. The spacious bathrooms have walk-in showers, while the suites also boast deep bathtubs.

The restaurant serves Laos dishes alongside pan-Asian and Western cuisine, while the pool bar offers snacks and refreshments.

Spend your days exploring the picturesque streets of Luang Prabang, visiting the temples and strolling along the riverside. Then relax with a dip in the pool, wander the fragrant gardens and lily pond, and unwind with a massage in the spa.

Satri House is a short 10-minute drive from Luang Prabang International Airport and a 5-minute stroll from Luang Prabang's Old Town.

Accommodation

The boutique hotel consists of 14 Deluxe rooms, 7 Deluxe Plus rooms, 7 Junior suites and 3 Satri House suites. Deluxe rooms feature a private balcony and minibar, Junior suites boast additional space and a larger bathroom, while the Satri House suite offers the privilege of sleeping in the last house of the Prince of Laos, classified as a Unesco Heritage Site, located right in front of the main swimming pool.

Activities

Attend weaving classes at Ock Pop Tok Living Crafts Centre near the banks of the Mekong River, stroll around the charming colonial town of Luang Prabang, bike around the Old Town or embark on an elephant riding adventure.
