Inspired by Beijing Siheyuan, a traditional courtyard surrounded by buildings on all four sides, it’s in a stunning, screen-printed six-storey building in Beijing’s hip Village at Sanlitun.

The creatively designed rooms at The Opposite House come in four different sizes with the larger two types featuring a personal balcony complete with daybeds and a large dining area. Expect white sheets, plenty of light, and lots of wood for a zen-like feel. The Penthouse spreads over two floors.

Jing Yaa Tang is an elegant restaurant serving modern Chinese dishes and delicious Peking duck. There’s also a wellness center offering a range of massage treatments, an indoor pool, and a fitness center

The Opposite House is an intriguing urban luxury hotel situated in the heart of Beijing’s hip village at Sanlitun, a 30-minute drive to the Beijing International Airport.

Accommodation

There are 99 creatively-designed rooms housed in this stunning, screen-printed emerald green six-storey building. Studios come in 4 different sizes, with the larger two types featuring a personal balcony complete with daybeds and large dining area, and the two largest studios that boast a private jacuzzi. The Penthouse spreads over two floors, comprising a roof terrace, a fully-equipped kitchen, and plenty of indoor and outdoor areas.

Activities

The Opposite House lies just steps from the city’s vibrant shopping and nightlife areas and is only a 20-minute drive from Tian’anmen Square. Other tourist attractions include the Great Wall, Beijing’s hutongs, Forbidden City, Temple of Heaven, and the 798 Art Zone. Private cooking classes and communal dinners with wine pairings are available, and guests can hire bicycles to tour the city.

Children are welcome at The Opposite House but there are no specific facilities available.
