Kanga Camp

Mana Pools

The home of the "Armchair Safari".

Tucked into a remote part of Mana Pools National Park, a World Heritage Site, lies Kanga Camp on the edge of the eponymous pan. Inland from the floodplain, Kanga Pan is the only permanent water source for a 20km radius and the camp’s focal point. This perennial water source teems with wildlife, especially in the dry season, creating the perfect setting for our famous “Armchair Safari.”

Unwind on the upper deck lounge under the shade of a mahogany tree or sit by the splash pool and enjoy Kanga – the old Africa in a new era. Sightings of nocturnal species at the pan regularly occur at dinner and while guests sit around the campfire.

All tents have fans and a dressing area leading to an en-suite (outdoor) bathroom. Kanga has a family tent with a wraparound terrace facing the pan with private seating and dining areas. The honeymoon tent features a rolltop bath on the adjoining secluded deck, ideal for a romantic starlit bath.

Set within the pristine wilderness area of Mana Pools interior, you can expect a contrasting experience to that had on the floodplain.
