Waterberry Lodge

This luxury boutique lodge lies in tranquil gardens on the banks of Zambezi River overlooking a game park, not far from Livingstone and Victoria Falls in Zambia. Waterberry Lodge has a friendly and informal atmosphere and offers fantastic cuisine and facilities including a large swimming pool.

The lodge provides seven thatched cottages dotted throughout the grounds, either on the riverbank or overlooking a private dam. Each cottage features simple décor with traditional African accents and a deck or terrace ideal for relaxing, sundowners, bird watching, or a private dinner which the lodge can arrange after a day of game drives.

Meals are simple, but a pleasure with a few dining options to choose from, from al fresco to picnics to bush dinners.

Visit Victoria Falls, enjoy a sunset cruise on the Zambezi River, explore a local village or go on a nature walk. Back at the lodge, sip a sundowner on the pontoon looking out for different animals and birds which can be spotted on the lodge grounds.

Location and getting there

Waterberry Lodge is located 30 minutes from Victoria Falls and Livingstone in Zambia. Livingstone Airport is a 35-minute drive away. It is within easy reach of Botswana, Namibia and Zimbabwe.

Accommodation

There are seven comfortable rooms with thatched roofs and high ceilings, comfortable beds, ensuite bathrooms and decks or terraces. Each room is simply decorated and features whitewashed walls, dark wood furnishings and traditional African accents. Family accommodation is available. There is also a River Farmhouse that can accommodate a family of up to eight.

Activities

As well as visiting Victoria Falls and Livingstone Town, you can go fishing, take a cruise down the Zambezi River, enjoy an island picnic or visit a craft market.

Children

The lodge welcomes families with children of all ages but it is better suited to those with older ones as it is unfenced so they must be supervised at all times.
