Kensington Place

Coined as the ‘coolest bolthole in Cape Town’, Kensington Place never fails to deliver sublime comfort, second-to-none service and an exceptional experience. It is one of Cape Town’s most stylish and one of the original boutique properties, ideally located on the slopes of Table Mountain in Higgovale. Ideally located, it’s secluded and peaceful but also near to the attractions of the city.

The eight rooms are defined by a blend of luscious textures and contemporary detail. There are seven Superior Suites and one Standard Room. Number 7 is the only room on the ground floor and has no view, but it does boast a cute garden location, and a great bathroom.

Only locally sourced South African ingredients are used by the in-house chefs to create breakfasts, lunch and dinners served al fresco on the terrace or in the open dining room.

Kensington Place boasts a small pool and courtyard-style garden with comfortable, chic outdoor lounging areas. Off-site exercise facilities are available should you feel like a work out.

Ideally located on the slopes of Table Mountain in Higgovale, Kensington Place is a 20-minute drive from Cape Town International Airport.

Accommodation

With spectacular views over Table Mountain, the 8 rooms have been meticulously designed and are defined by a blend of luscious textures and contemporary detail. There are 7 Superior suites and one Standard room and these can be made up into a double or twin room and feature of the modern luxuries desired by the discerning traveller. Superior suites offer an additional sitting area and workplace while the Standard room features a private balcony.

Activities

The hotel is well placed in the city centre of Cape Town with many fantastic bars and restaurants on the doorstep. The beautiful beaches of Cape Town are also just moments away. Guests must make a trip to Table Mountain National Park, part of the Cape Floral Kingdom, the richest single floristic area on the planet. Abseiling can also be done down Table Mountain.
