Location & Getting There
The lodge is located on Ibo Island off the northern coast of Mozambique. It is reached by a 20-minute light aircraft from Pemba (accessible from Johannesburg).
Accommodation
There are 14 rooms: Sea-facing Rooms, Historical Rooms, Garden Rooms or Private Villa Paradiso. Each one features high ceilings with teak beams, coral and lime walls, four-poster beds, handcrafted furniture, brass and antique original fittings and all-modern amenities. Niassa has garden facing rooms suitable for families
Activities
Activities include “Ibo of old” or “Ibo of today” guided walks, snorkelling, scuba diving, kayaking, swimming, fishing, island hopping, romantic picnics on a deserted beach, dolphin safaris and dhow cruises. Massages can also be arranged.
Children
Children over 12 are welcomed and there are plenty of family-friendly activities for them to enjoy. Under 12s can be accommodated on request.
