MalawiSet amongst the leafy lanes of northern Lilongwe, Latitude 13º is an intimate and stylish hotel in the grounds of the former Japanese ambassador’s residence. Located very close to the centre of Lilongwe, it’s the ideal stopover before or after a safari.
Accommodation is in six garden suites or three spacious rooms. The contemporary rooms have an industrial vibe with exposed brick walls and steel girders, alongside rich fabrics and Malawian artworks. There are also 20 long-stay apartments with fully equipped kitchens and comfortable lounges.
The poolside restaurant serves bistro-style food comprising African, Asian and Mediterranean dishes accompanied by an extensive wine list. There’s also a bar serving creative cocktails.
