Tau Pan Camp, Kalahari Desert, Botswana
From here, encounter a host of unique desert-adapted wildlife; in fact, Tau Pan Camp takes its name from 'Tau', or ‘lion’ in Setswana, for the iconic black-maned Kalahari lions who call the Kalahari Desert region in Botswana home. In addition to game drives and nature walks, embark on a full day trip to Deception Valley, made famous in Mark & Delia Owens’ fascinating book, Cry of the Kalahari.
