The Queen Victoria Hotel

Cape Town

Like sister hotel Dock House, The Queen Victoria Hotel lies within the historical Portswood Ridge, the Victorian-era residential area in South Africa's Cape Town that's on an elevated terrace above the world-famous V&A Waterfront.

Occupying an enviable location, it’s set within a cluster of heritage buildings just a few streets away from the centre of the harbour.

There are 32 rooms and three suites each tastefully decorated with touches paying homage to Queen Victoria. The suites have panoramic views of either Table Mountain or Cape Town’s harbour.

The hotel’s Dash Restaurant & Bar prides itself on its sophisticated fine dining, and although Cape Town’s V&A Waterfront is renowned for its wide array of restaurants, we certainly recommend making at least one reservation here during your stay.

Guests at The Queen Victoria Hotel are invited to use the swimming pool, gardens and spa at the neighbouring Dock House Boutique Hotel & Spa, part of the same group.

Why we recommend The Queen Victoria Hotel

"Feel like royalty with a stay at The Queen Victoria Hotel in Cape Town, South Africa. The atmosphere is intimate, the interiors are plush, and there’s a cutting-edge feel to this modern stay that's a great addition to a safari itinerary. The service is personal and the attention to details is impressive. A pianist plays in the atrium at night, and an open gas fireplace creates a cosy ambience on colder evenings."
